How Much Do Dentures Cost in Oregon? Real 2026 Prices
Denture pricing is one of the most frustrating things to research online. National sites quote everything from $300 to $30,000, and most dental offices won't publish numbers at all. So here are ours — actual Oregon prices, what makes them go up or down, and what insurance and OHP realistically pay.

What actually drives the price
- Materials. Economy acrylic teeth wear faster and look flatter; premium teeth are layered for translucency and last years longer. Most of the price spread between offices is here.
- Extractions and prep work. If teeth need to come out first, that's a separate cost — ask for it in the same written quote so there's no surprise.
- Implants. The big jump to $7,900+ buys stability: implant-supported dentures snap onto anchors, so they don't slip when you eat or speak. For lower dentures especially, many patients say it's life-changing.
- The dentist's process. More try-in visits and adjustments cost the office more but produce dentures you'll actually wear. A rock-bottom price with one fitting is how people end up with dentures in a drawer.
Rule of thumb: the right question isn't "what's your cheapest denture?". It's "what's included?" Free follow-up adjustments, a wax try-in you approve before finalizing, and a written warranty matter more than a $200 price difference.
What insurance and OHP pay
PPO insurance
Most PPO dental plans classify dentures as "major" work and cover 50% after your deductible, up to your annual maximum (typically $1,000–2,000). A smart office will also help you time treatment across two plan years to use two annual maximums.
Oregon Health Plan (OHP)

No insurance
Financing spreads a $1,200 denture into roughly $99/month through CareCredit or Sunbit, and our Denture Care membership ($19/month) covers ongoing adjustments and cleanings.
How to avoid denture regret
- Get the price in writing before treatment starts — including extractions, temporaries, and follow-ups.
- Insist on a try-in visit. You should see and approve the teeth in wax before anything is final.
- Ask who does the adjustments. New dentures always need fine-tuning; the first 60 days of adjustments should be included (they are here).
- Consider the lower jaw carefully. Lower full dentures are the hardest to keep stable — if your budget allows, two implants under a lower denture is the single best upgrade in all of denture care.
